The ready availability of automatic cameras has led to the widespread misconception that expertise in photography is simple to acquire. When all you seem to need in order to take PHOTOGRAPHS is to point and shoot, it is easy to assume that by merely pointing and shooting more, (on automatic setting) the quality of your PICTURES will inevitably improve. However, simply wasting more and more time and money pointing and shooting (even if your camera is a pro SLR) is not alone sufficient for you to develop the thorough knowledge of all aspects of photography,that makes the difference between a casual SNAPSHOT and a well thought out PHOTOGRAPH.
